Why did you get your real estate license?
I am a single mother of 3 incredible children. My oldest son has autism and finding care for him while I work a regular 9-5 job isn’t something that has been easy to find and isn’t even something I really feel comfortable doing. I got into real estate because I believe it is the best way, I can have the flexibility I need to raise my children and to support them and myself financially.
How long have you been in business and how did you figure it out?
I have had my real estate license for almost a year and a half now. I have been struggling a bit to get going due to many personal bumps in my road to success. I’ve refused to give up and I feel I am finally coming to the end of the bumpy part of that road because I am finally able to focus more on my business. I learn something new every day that helps me move in a positive direction for my business to grow.
Dreams and goals?
My dreams and goals are fairly simple. I want to eventually buy a home in Deer Park for my children. They want to finish their school years out in DPISD, and I want that for them because I wasn’t lucky enough to graduate from the same school or with the same kids, I started school with. I would like to build a business my children can continue with later in their lives if they choose. I would like to build residual income to help support my children when they are older, so they don’t have to struggle as much as I have had to before and after they were born. I would like to see my children finish high school, go to college, and start their lives debt free and if I can have any dream come true it would be for me to provide the financial stability for my children to reach for the stars without thoughts of cost.
Where are you from and tell me about your family?
I was born in Michigan but mostly grew up in Indiana. We moved back and forth a lot until I was in high school. I have 2 brothers and 1 sister who all still live in Indiana with their families.
What are your hobbies?
I absolutely love taking photos and manipulating them to create interesting photo art. I’ve been thinking about building an online storefront to sell my art as an extra form of income.
Do your hobbies play any role in your real estate business?
My photo hobby does not play a role in my real estate business, but it definitely could if I was interested in real estate photography.
What do you do differently than other agents?
I can’t really say what I do so differently than other agents because there are so many agents, and I don’t know how even a small percentage of them compare to another agent but what I can say is I will only take on a small number of clients at a time so my clients will receive the attention they deserve during their home buying process. I will treat my clients as friends by helping them with all their real estate needs because when my clients are happy my business will continue to grow. My clients will know, by my actions, how I am a good different from other agents.
